Getting started
What happens next when you're thinking of
working with me
First, I recommend an initial phone
conversation, which is free, to explore what you are
looking to get from life coaching and how I might help - and
when I can answer your questions and outline more how the
process will work. You can also get a feel for whether I might
be the right person for you.
We might then have an exploratory coaching
session, which will include an objective-setting
process, to clarify your goals for coaching, which is both
payable and very likely to be a great help in its own right
At that stage we agree a time and length of sessions, a
suitable programme in line with your objectives, and other
parameters for how we will work together.
Some basics of how I work
Personal coaching
- Fees: a basic session of one hour,
either face to face here in Wiltshire or by phone is £100
plus VAT. However I usually design and agree packages with
my clients depending on their needs, where they live and
other factors. For example:
-
- Monthly coaching by phone,
of two coaching sessions per month, with e-mail
support, for 6 months
- Face-to-face meetings here
in Wiltshire of two hours each, for approx. 8
sessions over 4 months, with two follow-up
sessions in the next 6 months, which I find
very effective
- Where I come to you, which
I like doing but would be more expensive given
the extra time and travel for me
- Payment: For face-to-face sessions,
payment is at the meeting in cash or in advance by bank
transfer or Paypal. For telephone sessions, payment is in
advance by Paypal (which has a credit card facility
available). Use of Paypal is subject to Paypal's
transaction fee
- Cancellation: a cancelled or postponed
session is always payable for any reason, unless I can
re-schedule it, if within 5 working days of the session. If
I cancel, which is rare, I will refund any money paid in
advance, or by agreement carry it forward to the next
session
- Confidentiality and other ethical
matters: all work is strictly confidential. I work to the
Association for Coaching code of ethics (see
www.associationforcoaching.com)
Executive coaching
This has a different set of arrangements and fee structure,
given the corporate nature of the work and the usual
involvement of stakeholders and a sponsor. This would include
my visits to the organisation, initial meetings with
stakeholders, exploratory work with the client and agreement by
proposal. I usually discuss this in advance by phone with
interested parties.
