About me
As a group facilitator and coach, I am passionate about personal growth and about what we are truly capable
of.
I love helping people find out what really lights them up. I love to help them get new perspectives on their
lives, work, relationships, lifestyles, ambitions, intentions, goals, and what they most want. I love to ask the
question that gets under the surface of things. The one that opens up whole new lines of enquiry, that
enables you to see the truth in a situation, that means you can see your true worth. This is what
helps you gain the insight that empowers you to make great changes in your life, that inspires you
to achieve great things.
I’ve a passionate belief that we are all inherently good and worthy. I care strongly about valuing
and respecting the person, that ultimately there’s a divine self in all of us and
it’s up to each of us to discover that for ourselves in our own way.
While I work internationally, I live in England in rural Wiltshire, a county of wide open rolling green hills,
an area famous for the ancient Celtic stone circles of Stonehenge and Avebury, white horses carved in the chalk and
huge elaborate crop circles in the summer corn - like this photo.
I’m married to Akasha Lonsdale who is a psychotherapist (MNRHP), an Interfaith Minister and an author. I have two grown-up children.
I have a second home in another rural idyll in South West France, where I also coach using the internet. Here's
part of the view!
I do yoga and meditation, following my own spiritual practice, I run workshops and I read and write. And dig the
garden.
The formal bit
I am an accredited member of the Association
for Coaching as a coach (see www.associationforcoaching.com) and the UK Association of Humanistic Psychology
Practitioners (see www.ahpp.org) as a group facilitator, and I receive on-going professional supervision.
I am an NLP Master Practitioner and am certified in Advanced Neurological Repatterning™ and Hypnosis. I am a
certified Laughter Yoga Teacher. I have trained extensively in Gestalt and other Humanistic
and Transpersonal Psychologies and NLP.
I have a previous background in education to a
senior level, holding a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education and a BA (2:1) from Oxford
University.
Note: Coaching and Facilitation services provided by me are not psychotherapy or counselling
and are not intended as a substitution for those services. If that is the help you need, I am able to refer you to
well-qualified practitioners in those fields.
