With John Gloster-Smith
Find a powerful way to shift your state of mind
Discover the benefits of stilling your mind, calming your internal chatter and connecting
to inner peace
"Joy is within. Meditate". (Swami Muktananda)
Meditation is a very simple process and can be easily practised. It is all about being
present and aware, calming the mind, bringing yourself to a state of easeful rest and connecting with your Self
within, your Source of true peace and contentment.
You will learn about
- How to develop and deepen your meditation practice
- Managing and calming the mind; use of the breath, a mantra and other techniques
- The use of philosophy from east and west to support the practice
- Managing the pitfalls and distractions; the ways of the “ego” and how to handle them
- The use of meditation as spiritual practice
- Applying your meditation practice in everyday life
This series of sessions based on the yogic meditation tradition provides an invaluable opportunity to learn
through regular repeat practice, supported by regular teaching sessions, to
ground and build the practice so that you can gain the real, lasting benefit.
The sessions will teach the gentle art of sitting quietly, going within and being with your Self. The approach
is not specifically aligned with a particular spiritual practice. Rather it will suit people of all persuasions who
wish to enhance and deepen their quality of life.
"In meditation, you find your own way of knowing and experiencing the truth of your own
heart". (Swami Chidvilasananda)

"When you let yourself become quiet, when you settle into the breath, you find
yourself in the heart...As you become accustomed to this practice, you can simply sit on your mat and walk into

Chidvilasananda)
