Where are you
going? Clarify your mission and purpose
Clarify mission and purpose to make dreams into
reality
When Martin Luther King
proclaimed, “I have a dream”, he articulated
an enormously powerful vision that motivated huge numbers of
people to achieve great results. Do you have a dream? Or are
you seeking one?
Do you find yourself
thinking things like:
“What’s the
point?” “Why am I doing this?” “What should I really be
doing?” “Is this for me?” “There’s got to be something
better out there”. “What am I really meant to be doing?” “I
want to be doing something
meaningful”
Maybe you want to know what
it’s all about, where you should be going, what you should be
doing, a reason, a meaning, even a sense of personal
mission.
I work with many people who
are questioning their direction, mission and purpose and are
seeking a meaning to their lives. Often they
feel confronted by these questions as a result of some
important event that’s happened, a career crisis, bereavement,
divorce or separation, reaching a certain age, or a moment of
great personal insight, for example. Or it’s a combination of
things. Or they get to a point where the status quo is no
longer acceptable, and they want to move on.
Using life coaching to create your own mission and
purpose
Where life coaching can be
so helpful is in creating the means by which your current
situation can be reviewed, new insights made and positive
decisions reached that can move your life
forward.
Often it is that you are
changing, your values are changing, and you are seeking new
understandings which are more meaningful. When you gain a new
awareness it can then be applied in all sorts of situations and
the detail can be worked out as to how to apply it practically.
Yet until your awareness has been raised about what is going
on, it is often very hard to see the way forward.
Working with a life coach
can therefore be an invaluable aid to raising awareness and
making choices about the way forward
So, where are you going?
What do you most want to create? What is
your dream? And what help do you need to manifest
it?
Your vision might be
about:
- A new
relationship
- Setting up a
business
- Creating a better
lifestyle
- Moving to your dream
place
- Building a fulfilling
career
- Developing your
personal mission
- Your personal and/or
spiritual growth
- Creating an income and
following your passion
- Dealing with your
personal demons
